Yoga and Mindfulness Retreat Spring 2015

We’ll be spending the weekend practising yoga and a variety of mindfulness and meditation techniques, to ease away all your stresses and tensions and leave you calm, clear, relaxed and focused. Yoga is a mindful practise and mindfulness a yoga practice, so they really complement each other and I’m really looking forward to taking all the practices deeper, building on each session, to fully explore the relationship between you, your body and your mind.

The practices are suitable for complete beginners through to the very experienced and range from the physical through to deep meditation and will include:

  • Vinyasa pracices (flowing physical yoga postures)
  • Walking Meditation
  • Breathing exercises (Pranyama)
  • Chakra balancing exercises & mantras
  • Developing your sensitivity to your body
  • Developing your awareness
  • Developing the mindful mind
  • Energy (prana/chi) development & Qi Gong
  • Discussions on awareness & the nature of spiritual practise
