What to Expect

In the first session, a full case history is taken, and in each subsequent session, an update is taken. The practitioner will ask you what you would like from the treatment, as well as questions about your health and lifestyle, with a view to getting an overall picture about you.

As Shiatsu is a physical treatment, it is advisable not to eat a large meal within two hours prior to the treatment. You should wear loose comfortable clothing - trousers rather than a skirt, which will enable you to experience a full range of movement

Although a Shiatsu treatment can leave you feeling energised, it is recommended that you don't plan to exert yourself following the treatment, as occasionally you might find the treatment can be quite tiring - this is often due to toxins that can be stored in the muscles releasing into the body to be disposed of. It is recommended that you drink plenty of water following a treatment, so that these toxins do not cause a headache.
